Development plan |
The main objective of this investment in the concession land is to contribute to sustainable economic and agricultural development and to reduce poverty among the Cambodian people through investment in restoring and increasing agricultural production by developing rubber plantations to improve the economic efficiency of the concession land, improving the natural environment, and building a rubber processing factory with a business period of 70 years. The objectives of this investment project are as follows:
• Increase agricultural productivity on forest land that has been deforested in the concession land area through the development of rubber plantations as an agro-industrial complex.
• Expand the forest cover lost through illegal logging in the past to replace it with rubber forests, aiming to create a forest cover and protect the natural environment in the concession land area.
• Contribute to rural economic development, increasing income for people living near the concession land area in order to reduce poverty, in line with the policies of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
• Promote the processing of agricultural products, especially rubber products and other products such as cashew nuts for domestic and export demand, etc. |
Mitigation strategies |
The company's rubber plantation investment project will cause environmental and social impacts caused by project activities at all stages of the project. The implementation of this environmental management plan is the responsibility of the environmental team or department that will be developed and implemented by the project owner in collaboration with relevant professional institutions and must be under strict supervision by the Ministry of Environment to determine the extent and minimize environmental impacts that may arise from investment activities. |
