The data was collected from many sources by ODC’s mappers such as government, news, company profiles, reports and NGO agency in both pdf and shapefile format. Geographic data is encoded in the WGS 84, Zone 48 North coordinate reference system.

This corporate information on Liberty Mining International (LMI) website showed geographical location of project site in Banlung, Rattanakiri province, Cambodia. The project area covered approximate size of 240 Km2. In addition, 127 Km2 had been granted to LMI to the north of current site, Banlung project. The company had been conducted various soil geochemical sampling program, and stream sediments sample at the studied site in March 2006. Interestingly, the result revealed highly anomalous gold results, reinforcing the potential of the Banlung gold project. During this study, Liberty had witnessed a strong indication of gold deposit with its intention to begin exploration with trenching, magnetic surveys, and drilling program. |
