A final data collection survey on electric power sector in Cambodia prepared by JICA. The purpose of the study is to grasp the latest trend in the power sector in Cambodia, and to collect and collate the data needed to examine specific areas where cooperation is required in this sector. The study was supported by the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy (MIME), the Electricity Authority of Cambodia, and the Electricité du Cambodge (EDC). The road map covering the study is shown in the report. |

The Annual Report 2014 of Electricité Du Cambodge (EDC) is focused on electricity sector in Cambodia during the year of 2014. This report includes the information of management structure of EDC institution, the energy productions by types of power plant such as fuel oil, hydro, biomass, coal, and imported energy at the high voltage from Thailand and Vietnam, demand and supply, transmission and distribution networks in Cambodia, and statement of income of ECD in 2013 and 2014. |
Development of energy sector in Cambodia

The presentation slides draw a general picture of Cambodia's energy sector and its development plan. Sources of the energy come from hydropower, coal, natural gas, crude oil and imported electricity. By 2030, at least 70% of residence across the country will have an access to electricity. |

This brief presentation introduces with the objectives of energy policy, which has established since October 1994, followed by a list of maps of potential macro and micro hydropower projects in Cambodia. In conclusion part, an acknowledgement of a lacking technical capacity among responsible staffs of the hydro electricity department was stated, thus the department is in need of assistance to improve on the fields. |
