Grant Opportunities for Bachelor Research Support
Background
Open Development Cambodia (ODC) is an ‘open data’ website, the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. The open data movement is based on the simple premise that data collected for public interest should be publicly available without restrictions. Information or data in the public domain should be freely available to everyone to use and republish as they wish. Open Development Cambodia does not promote any particular perspective, agenda or bias other than to provide objective information about Cambodia and its development. ODC has been promoting open data and any activities that encourage the use and provision of open data.
In 2018, ODC, together with the East West Management Institute (EWMI), signed an MoU with the Prek Leap National Institute of Agriculture (NIA) for academic and research cooperation. One of the activities binding the three parties under the MoU is to ‘support joint projects or research with the faculties or students in the future based on its merits and availability of funds’. That said, ODC is pleased to offer thesis research grants to students conducting their final year research thesis.
