CHHENG Hongchhay
Junior Data Research and GIS Officer
Hongchhay is a Junior Data Research and GIS Officer at Open Development Cambodia (ODC). He previously worked as a Data Research and GIS Intern at ODC for three months in 2024. He holds an engineering degree from the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC), where he majored in Geo-resource and Geotechnical Engineering (GEE).
At ODC, his responsibilities include maintaining and updating datasets across the ODC platform to ensure that information remains accurate, timely, and accessible to the public. He conducts ongoing research to identify new or updated datasets, verifies data quality, and publishes this data and information on the platform. In addition, he contributes to GIS technologies, data visualization, and map production, supporting ODC’s mission to promote open data, transparency, and evidence-based decision-making in Cambodia.
