Environmental management plan The project owner will submit a monitoring report to the Ministry of Environment every 3 months and implement the following key points: - Organizing the company's working group responsible for implementing the environmental management plan - Setting a clear time for environmental protection work - Equipping health and safety equipment and modern machinery according to technical requirements during the construction and operation stages of the project, such as fire control equipment, other safety equipment, etc. - Promoting, preventing and preventing various epidemics that may occur, and arranging suitable housing for workers working in the project area. In addition, the company must educate and introduce methods for protecting health, hygiene and safety when performing work, instructing workers on the importance of the environment and methods for maintaining the physical environment and the living environment of the workers themselves. - Solid and liquid waste management. - Encourage tree planting around the project area. - Cooperating with specialized institutions in supervising construction and technical work and accepting any technical improvements from specialized officials.
Development plan The whole economic development project is through the development of the power sector and the expansion of the power supply in areas where there is a shortage of electricity.
Mitigation strategies During the construction phase, a number of construction activities, such as land clearing, land reclamation, construction of workers' shelters, transportation of materials, etc., may affect physical, biological, and socio-economic resources. These sections come with mitigation measures.
Environmental and social funds The 230 kV power transmission line project affected three provinces, seven districts, and 19 communes, and about 1,318 households. The cost of the study varies from region and region. The company will plan to settle these affected lands and houses by paying the actual compensation. According to the results of the compensation, the company has settled with the people in Kampong Speu about 22%, Sihanoukville 100%, and Koh Kong Province 100%.
