Social alnd environmental impacts The project has positive impacts as follows: 1. When the project is implemented, it can provide jobs to local people and generate income for some local people 2. The area around the filling area will become more bustling, making it easier for people to shop nearby 3. It can lead to improved water quality as the increased water speed will cause the water to flow along the coast, which is currently calm 4. The pumping will create sediment for filling the filling area 5. It will create a navigation route that allows large ships to enter and exit 6. By pumping, creating sediment and pouring it into the filling area, this will be a major step towards promoting the Kampot Special Economic Zone and the international port to emerge more quickly.
Employment opportunity In this project, the company needs about 100 local workers and about 300 foreign workers.
Public participation The public consultation was attended by participants from the Ministry of Environment, Kampot Provincial Department of Environment, Kampot Provincial Fisheries Administration District, Kampot Provincial Department of Industry, Mines and Energy, Kampot Provincial Department of Water Resources and Meteorology, Kampot Provincial Department of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, Teuk Chhou District Authority, Boeung Touk Commune Authority, Koh Toch Commune Authority, Prek Thnaot Commune Authority, Kampot Port Company, and CES Company.
Land converted from The government has allocated 1,000 hectares of land in Kilo 12 village, Koh Touch commune and Boeung Chhouk commune, Kampot district, Kampot province to develop the international port and Kampot special economic zone in proportion to the state's share of 30% of the land and Kamport Port Company shared 70% of the land size.
Environmental management plan The general process of preparing an environmental management plan in a project area includes: 1. Data collection and data analysis by the project owner or project consultant 2. Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports by the project owner or project consultant 3. Receiving reports and implementing monitoring and suggestions for reports by the Ministry or Department of Environment and related institutions. For the budget project, the preparation and general management of the environmental management plan project depends on the actual situation during the project implementation.
Development plan The company plans to set up a social fund to address environmental impacts that will help improve the lives of citizens, such as: 1. Establish a fund for restoring environmental resources 2. Fund for restoring people's lives 3. Fund for social infrastructure
Mitigation strategies The report covers measures to reduce environmental and social impacts in three phases: pre-implementation, operational, and project completion stages, and focuses on physical, biological, and socio-economic resources.
