Social alnd environmental impacts | The project will provide a sustainable power supply, construct new access roads to the project site, provide job to Cambodian workers, rehabilitate infrastructures roads, culverts, bridges, and other infrastructure to increase the potential value of the ecotourism. The project will create income for the local and national people due to the provision of a job in the construction and operation stages. The output through an annual energy production of 1953.9 GWh will give a positive impact on the economic development of Cambodia. |

The project will have an installed capacity of 400 MW to supply electricity to the surrounding provinces as well as for export to Vietnam. The project is Build Operate and Transfer (BOT) type and the investment cost is USD 816.23 million. The main dam length is 8km with crest 83m above the sea level and about 40m above the river. There are 5 turbine units with a capacity of 80MW each. |
