Social alnd environmental impacts The project will provide 617.89 gigawatts of electricity per year, about 82 percent of Cambodia's electricity generation in 2005, which will stabilize the supply of electricity and use it for the development of Cambodia's economy. In addition, it will help prevent floods in the Prek Trapeang Roung area during the rainy season. The project also contributes to the development of local infrastructures and amounts to the national budget.
