Prakas is to establish 03 (three) Community Forestries (3 locations) in Oral Division and Borsedh Division, Kandal Cantonement, Kampong Speu Province, with the total area 2,403 hectares.The aim of this establishment is to conserve the biodiversity, manage the traditional use of forest products and non timber forest products for the local community livelihood, tradition and religious believes align with poverty reduction policy of the Royal Government of Cambodia. Community Forestry Statistic in Cambodia 2013 was published in June 2013 by Forestry Administration and made available in both English and Khmer versions. The publications provide information in details on community forestry and its locations in 21 provinces along with maps. The total number of community forestry was officially reported at 457, which covered the total areas of 400,167.02 hectares.
