Obligations of associations and non-governmental organizations
On 04 July 2017, the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia has released a public announcement on obligations of associations and non-governmental organizations after notifying that some associations and non-governmental organizations haven’t complied correctly with regulations of Article 10 and 25 of “Law on Associations and Non-governmental organizations (LANGO)” and also worked conversely to its statute.
In the purpose of ensuring on law enforcement, the Ministry of Interior has notified to all registered domestic associations and non-governmental organizations and who has placed its statutory documents at Ministry of Interior to:
- fulfill the obligation in accordance with Article 10 of LANGO and inform in writing all of its operation bank accounts in the banks in the Kingdom of Cambodia to Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Economy and Finance no later than the end of September 2017.
- fulfill the obligation in accordance with Article 25 of LANGo and submit its reports to Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Economy and Finance no later than the end of February of the following year.
- submit activity report and annual financial report of 2016 to Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Economy and Finance no later than the end of September 2017.
