On 11 December 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued a press releaseregarding Cambodia and U.S. commit to further strengthening ties on their official website.

According to the press, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, congratulated the US’s recent successful elections while recieving a call by Ms. Bridgette L. Walker, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the US embassy, on 10 December 2024.
