Press release on the outcomes of the 2nd conference on “The mechanism for export and import food safety for member countries of the Belt and Road Cooperation Framework”
On 16 October 2025, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) issued a press release on the outcomes of bilateral meetings at the 2nd Conference on “The Mechanism for Export and Import Food Safety for Member Countries of the Belt and Road Cooperation Framework” in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China. His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture also paid a courtesy call to H.E. Sun Meijun, Minister of the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC), and H.E. Zhao Zenglian, Deputy Minister of the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC), to discuss strengthening cooperation under the framework of Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) measures between the two countries.
The outcomes of this meeting represent another significant step in expanding and strengthening agricultural-commercial cooperation, as well as creating smoother and more effective export market opportunities for Cambodian farmers’ agricultural products.
