Press release on the suspension of Cambodia-Thailand border crossings
On 13 December 2025, the Ministry of Interior stated the suspension of Cambodia-Thailand border crossings, effective immediately until further notice, due to the evolving border situation where the Thai side continues to invade and attack Cambodia’s sovereign territory indiscriminately, causing casualties to the Cambodian people and damaging physical infrastructure. This decision was made to ensure the safety and security of Cambodians, Thais, and all foreign nationals. The ministry advised Cambodian citizens in Thailand and Thai nationals in Cambodia to continue living and working as normal until the ceasefire is fully implemented and called upon the Thai Ministry of Interior to provide appropriate protection to Cambodian citizens currently residing in Thailand.
