Statement: The Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority condemns Thailand’s unlawful military aggression against Cambodia and calls for international action
On 19 December 2025, the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA) issued a statement condemning in the strongest possible terms the ongoing and unlawful military aggression by Thailand against the Kingdom of Cambodia. The CMAA highlighted that Thailand has utilized advanced air power, including F-16 fighter jets, to carry out aerial bombardments of residential areas and civilian locations, leading to civilian deaths, mass displacement, and the destruction of essential infrastructure and world heritage sites. Furthermore, the authority urgently called upon the international community, including the United Nations and ASEAN, to condemn these actions and take immediate measures to uphold international law and protect innocent civilians.
