Cambodia, Japan to issue exemptions, long-term and multiple visas

In order to promote and facilitate people to people exchange between Cambodia and Japan, both governments have agreed on visa exemptions and the issuance of long-term and multiple visas, according to a press release issued by Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. In the release issued Monday, visas for Cambodian and Japanese Diplomatic and Service Official passport holders will have an exemption period of thirty days. This visa exemption will be announced at the ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit held in Tokyo from December 13-15, the press release said. For ordinary passport holders of the two countries the issuance of long-term and multiple visas will last for a period from one to three years. Long-term and multiple visa will be implemented on December 11, the release said. Prime Minister Hun Sen will lead a Cambodian delegation to participate in the 40th ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit and the 5th Mekong-Japan Summit in Tokyo, Japan. …
