European Union Grants $54 Million to Cambodia
The European Union yesterday pledged to support Cambodia with three grants totaling $54 million, including one payment to help bolster the country’s ability to organize its public finances, officials announced at a press conference in Phnom Penh. “The E.U. will continue to support Cambodia with three new programs by granting Cambodia 20 million euros [$25 million] in the agriculture sector, 15 million euros [19 million] in decentralization and 8 million euros [$10 million] in public financial management,” said Secretary of State Ouch Borith during a press conference with Pedro Serrano, the E.U.’s director for South Asia and Southeast Asia. …
