Four People Injured After Two Buses Collide
Three Vietnamese nationals and one Cambodian were hospitalized Saturday after two commercial buses driving between Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh City collided in Svay Rieng province, police said yesterday. Ouch Sarun, provincial traffic police chief, said that the two buses [belonging to Van Rec. Co. Ltd., and 15-SH Transport Co. Ltd. companies], carrying a total of 60 people, crashed head-on as they were traveling in opposite directions on National Road 1 in Svay Teap district at about 9:30 a.m. … The crash is the latest in a string of bus accidents that have occurred this year, bringing into question safety standards of the country’s bus industry. …
