On Thursday, 29 August 2013, the ODC Team attended  the ICT4D Network’s National Workshop on  “Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D)”. In attendance was a mixed group of more than 130 people: university students, NGO workers, media groups, government officials, entrepreneurs, and private sector employees. The ODC Research & Volunteer Coordinator Chan Penhleak severed as a panelist and presented the ODC website as a case study on “Opening up development data: Making data and information about Cambodia’s development visible, accessible, and useable to the world.”

Students were particularly interested in learning about the ODC website as a resource for their studies. Some of those who are writing a thesis as a part of their development related curriculum shown interests in speaking with members of the ODC Team to broaden their research understanding.

NGO representatives from natural resources related projects approached the ODC Team to discuss potential mutual research/project interests.

Private sector employees were keen to learn more about the ODC’s extended research on investment framework and related topics.
