កាលពីខែតុលា ព្រឹទ្ធសភាអូស្ត្រាលី បានឯកភាពគ្នាថា អំពាវឲ្យរដ្ឋាភិបាលកម្ពុជា “ រៀបចំការបោះឆ្នោត សេរី និងយុត្តិធម៌ ក្នុងឆ្នាំ២០១៣ និងធានាថា ណបក្សប្រឆាំងនានាអាចចូលរួមយ៉ាងពេញលេញក្នុងកិច្ចការ នយោបាយកម្ពុជា ដោយមិនមានការយាយីផ្នែករូបវន្ត ឬក៏ផ្នែកតុលាការ ឬក៏ការគំរាមកំហែង”។
នៅក្នុងកិច្ចសម្ភាសជាមួយវិទ្យុអេបីស៊ីអូស្ត្រាលី (ABC Radio Australia) លោកស្រី គ្រីស្ទីន មីលណេ (Christine Milne) មេដឹកនាំគណបក្សបៃតង បានលើកឡើងថា ក្នុងនាមជាអ្នកផ្តល់ជំនួយដ៏ច្រើនមួយដល់ប្រទេសកម្ពុជា ប្រទេសអូស្ត្រាលីត្រូវក្រោកឈរឡើង និងបង្ហាញក្តីកង្វល់របស់ខ្លួនអំពីភាពមិនប្រក្រតី ដែលបានកើតឡើងនៅក្នុងការបោះឆ្នោតទូទាំងប្រទេស កាលពីថ្ងៃអាទិត្យ សប្តាហ៍មុន។
