Clarification regarding social media dissemination about the gold bar presenting the logo of the National Bank of Cambodia
On 30 October 2025, the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) issued a clarification notice denying the existence of a gold bar bearing the logo of the National Bank of Cambodia, which was accompanied by a description claiming it to be gold issued by the “Real Khmer Bank.”
This clarification further stated that the National Bank of Cambodia has never issued such gold, and the unauthorized use of the National Bank of Cambodia’s logo and name is an illegal act.
