GDT notification: 2025 property tax payment deadline extended to 31 December
On 9 October 2025, the General Department of Taxation (GDT) issued a notice announcing an extension of the deadline for the payment of the 2025 Tax on Immovable Property until 31 December 2025. This extension was granted because many property owners had not yet fulfilled their obligations to register their property, update their information, or pay the tax for the year. Property owners who have not yet registered or paid the tax are urged to complete these tasks by the new deadline at the Provincial/District Tax Branch where the property is located or at any commercial bank that has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
