NBC announcement on customer concerns over Prince Bank Plc
On 18 October 2025, the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), in its capacity as the supervisory authority for the banking system in Cambodia, issued a press release to inform the public of the necessary measures being taken to ensure the normal operation of all customer accounts at Prince Bank Plc. and, specifically, to guarantee the safety and security of the funds belonging to the bank’s customers.
This announcement was released immediately after it was observed that, over the last two days, customers, due to concern, had proceeded to withdraw their funds from Prince Bank Plc.
Regarding the information being disseminated about Prince Bank Plc., the competent authorities of Cambodia are currently undertaking close supervision and investigation measures to ensure that the bank maintains full compliance with Cambodian law.
