Press release on coral spawning spotted for the 2nd time in Cambodia water

The Fauna & Flora-Cambodia Programme, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, and supported by Bubbles Up Dive Center and The Song Saa Foundation, successfully conducted a mass coral spawning survey between February and March 2025 in the Koh Rong Archipelago.

This marks the second year of our research into coral spawning in Cambodian waters, following initial discoveries in 2024 and again in 2025. This second sighting is a significant milestone in their conservation efforts, indicating the resilience and health of coral reefs in the Koh Rong Archipelago, especially after the global coral bleaching event in 2024.
