On 16 January 2023, the National Election Committee has posted a press release on the dissemination meeting with stakeholders on the re-election process for the new municipality and district council elections on their official website.

According to the press release, the meeting has set Sunday, 09 April 2023, as a date to host the first new municipality and district council elections for the separated and newly formed municipality and district.
