On 14 March 2023, the Ministry of Economy and Finance issued a press release on the second meeting of inter-ministerial committee to prepare a masterplan to develop Preah Sihanouk province into a model multipurpose special economic zone (SEZ) and discuss the results report of the Preah Sihanouk province masterplan in the second phase.

His Excellency Dr. Aun Pornmoniroth chaired the second meeting to review and discuss the “Draft Report on the Second Phase of the Master Plan for the Development of Preah Sihanouk province into a model multipurpose special economic zone” organized by the Urban Planning and Design Institute of Shenzen.
