On 2 January 2026, the Ministry of Interior issued a press release regarding the situation following the ceasefire agreement from 6:00 PM on 1 January to 1:00 PM on 2 January 2026.

There have been 15,624 displaced persons continuing to return to their homes, resulting in a remaining total of 393,640 displaced persons, including 206,783 women and 126,196 children.
