On 5 January 2026, the Ministry of Interior issued a press release regarding the situation following the ceasefire agreement from 6:00 PM on 4 January to 6:00 PM on 5 January 2026.

From 6:00 PM on 4 January to 6:00 PM on 5 January 2026, an additional 37,423 displaced persons returned to their homes. As a result, out of a total of more than 640,000 displaced persons, 204,844 people remain in displacement camps.
