Announcement on business operations related to the importation, supply, and distribution of telecommunications equipment
On 27 October 2023, the Telecommunication Regulator of Cambodia (TRC) informed individuals and companies involved in importing, supplying, and distributing telecommunications equipment in the Kingdom of Cambodia that there were requests for intervention by the authorized agents who obtained a Qualified Agent Certificate from the TRC and got authorization from the vendor companies on the importation, supply, and distribution of Apple and Samsung smart phones, Garmin smartwatches, and other types of telecommunications products by unauthorized individuals and companies. These unauthorized actions have had severe impacts on their legitimate business operations.
TRC will take strict action in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations if it finds any ongoing violations by individuals and companies. TRC encourages individuals and companies to report any illegal activities mentioned above by calling hotline 6789 during business hours or sending an email to info@trc.gov.kh.
