Press release: ASEAN Observer Team (AOT) joins investigation into Cambodian civilian casualties
On 15 November 2025, the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior announced that competent authorities, with the participation of the ASEAN Observer Team (AOT) and foreign experts, are currently investigating the case caused by the Thai army on November 12, who opened fire in Prey Chan village, resulting in the death of one innocent Cambodian civilian and three others being seriously injured. Following the completion of a thorough investigation, examination, and collection of evidence, Cambodia will consider filing a complaint with the relevant international competent bodies to demand accountability and justice for the innocent Cambodian civilian citizens who suffered from this crime.
