On 3 February 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued a press release on Cambodia’s protests against an unauthorized field visit led by the Chief of Intelligence of the Thai Army in Cambodian territory.

The field visit was conducted without the consent of the Royal Government of Cambodia, which constitutes a violation of Cambodia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
