On 6 August 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued a press release on Cambodia, Timor-Leste discuss cooperation promotion.

The two foreign ministers discussed the suitable date and the preparation for the state visit of the President Timor-Leste to Cambodia and concurred to organize some events to celebrate this year the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between both countries.
