Press statement: The special rapporteur is urged to act meaningfully and substantively on the human rights concerns at the border
On 29 November 2025, the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva issued a press statement to urge the special rapporteur to act meaningfully and substantively on the human rights concerns at the border.
The Permanent Mission of Cambodia to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva appreciates the News Release issued on 20 November 2025 by the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Cambodia, Mr Vitit Muntarbhorn. However, the Mission notes that it fails to meaningfully address the issue of human rights in relation to the Cambodia-Thailand armed conflict along the border.
