On 02 February 2023, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia issued a statement in response to the recent announcement by the U.S. Department of State to award the human rights defender award to a law-breaking person in Cambodia.
