Statement on deep disappointment over the announcement of support by His Excellency Wan Muhamad Noor Matha, Speaker of the House of Representatives and President of the National Assembly of Thailand

The National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia expresses its deep disappointment over the announcement of support by His Excellency Wan Muhamad Noor Matha, Speaker of the House of Representatives and President of the National Assembly of Thailand, for Lieutenant General Bunsin Phatkhlang, Commander of the 2nd Military Region of Thailand, which was published in Thai on the website of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Thailand and The Nation newspaper on 10 August 2025, in which Lieutenant General Bunsin Phatkhlang announced his pre-retirement plan, which is 51 days away, by 1) seizing the Takrabei Temple from the legitimate control of Cambodia; 2) declaring the closure of the Ta Moan Thom Temple, which is within the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Cambodia.
