Cambodian opposition calls for top-level meeting with PM over political row
Cambodia’s opposition party on Monday called for a top meeting between its leader Sam Rainsy and Prime Minister Hun Sen over the post-election dispute after the two parties’ working group officials failed to reach agreements on electoral reforms. “The opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) would like to propose a summit between the two leaders in order to negotiate over the sticking points that the two party officials could not make decision,” CNRP chief whip Son Chhay told reporters after a meeting between the working group officials of the two parties that produced no results. …
