Cambodian opposition’s 55 lawmakers to swear into parliament on Tuesday
The Cambodian opposition’s 55 lawmakers-elect will be sworn in at the parliament on Tuesday afternoon, ending a 10-month long boycott of the parliament over disputed election results in July last year.
“All the opposition lawmakers-elect, led by Sam Rainsy, president of the opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP), will be sworn in before King Norodom Sihamoni at the Royal Palace on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. (local time),” CNRP lawmaker-elect Eng Chhay Eang told Xinhua. …
