Constitutional Council to resume inquiries Tuesday
Cambodia’s Constitutional Council will resume their inquiries Tuesday into the opposition party’s poll complaints regarding the alleged irregularities of the election, according to the general secretariat of the Constitutional Council. In a statement issued Saturday, the council had already resolved 14 complaints among the 33 received last week. The complaints also included the National Election Committee’s (NEC) decision regarding their first official poll results announced earlier last week, which gave the election victory to the Cambodian People’s Party of Prime Minister Hun Sen. The opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) had sent 17 complaints last Wednesday to the NEC regarding the irregularities of the election. …
