Hun Sen issues new directive over impending floods
Prime Minister Hun Sen yesterday issued another directive to all relevant ministries, institutions and local authorities to take preventive measures to deal with upcoming floods. He noted a severe flooding in the upper Mekong provinces which occurred last week and that the water is only slowly receding, especially in Stung Treng province. Waters in the province have only receded by 0.6 metres over the past four-and-a-half days following the flooding. …
