Rainsy says CNRP doesn’t recognize newly-formed government

The opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) leader Sam Rainsy on Wednesday said that the CNRP doesn’t recognize the newly-formed government of Prime Minister Hun Sen. Speaking at a news conference, he urged all international communities and countries of the Paris Peace Agreement to condemn “this illegal” government. … Sam Rainsy also appealed to international companies not to make any contracts or agreements with the government as it doesn’t stand for the country or the Cambodian people. Prime Minister Hun Sen said Tuesday after his reappointment ceremony that the National Assembly was not a hostage of any group. He said his government opened the door to the opposition and offered parliamentary posts of chairman and vice-chairman of several commissions. …
