A Malaysia-Japan joint-venture company, Hitachi Sunway Information Systems Sdn Bhd, is making a foray into Cambodia after securing a deal with Aeon Co to supply point-of-sales (POS) systems to the Japanese retailer. The POS systems will be used to facilitate transactions for the tenants of the mall, said Hitachi Sunway chief executive officer Cheah Kok Hoong. … Aeon is reportedly spending US$205 million (RM672.7 million) to set up a three-storey Aeon Mall in Phnom Penh, slated for opening in the first half of this year.
