ODC invited to speak at the Open Government Partnership Asia Pacific Regional Conference!
On April 14 2014, Open Development Cambodia received a written letter from the President of the Delivery Unit within the Indonesian government, inviting ODC to speak at the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Asia Pacific Regional Conference on May 6-7 2014 in Bali, Indonesia.
The OGP Asia Pacific Regional Conference, the first in Asia since OGP’s inception, served as a platform for countries and communities within the region to share experiences in open and good governance practices. About 650 people, representing approximately 50 countries, participated in the conference, including The President of Indonesia and other high level speakers the Asia Pacific region.
ODC Director, Thy Try was one of 10 civil society representatives from Cambodia participated in the conference and provided a presentation on “Opening up: Inspiring Stories from Transparent and Accountable Local Governments”. After this event, there was an opportunity participants to network, during which a representative from the Embassy of Cambodia in Jakarta expressed his enthusiasm about the site.
