Announcement on the 11 new positive COVID-19 cases of Cambodian-Muslim who has traveled to attend religious ceremony in Malaysia and 1 new positive case of Cambodia man who traveled to Thailand
On 16 March 2020, the Ministry of Health issued an announcement on the finding of 12 new positive COVID-19 cases. The cases is as follow:
1. In Banteay Meanchey province: Two cases of Khmer Muslim man and one Cambodian from Thailand
2. In Phnom Penh: 2 cases of 2 Muslim men (63 years old and 64 years old)
3. In Kampong Chhnang: 2 cases of Muslim men (75 years old and 28 years old)
4. In Battambang: 04 cases of 4 Muslim men (38 and 45 years old)
5. In Kampot Province: 1 case in Khmer Muslim man (30 years old)
6. In Tbong Khmum: 01 Muslim men (61 years old)
It is worth noting that all affected Khmer Muslims are attending religious festivals in Malaysia.
