On 10 October 2023, the Ministry of Health issued a press release on the death of a 2-year-old girl from bird flu.

Recently, there was another case of bird flu in a 2-year-old child who died in Chhma Lot village, Smaong Khang Tboung commune, Kamchay Mear district, Prey Veng province.
