Outcome of the bilateral meeting between Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and President of the Republic of the Korea
On 27 October 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) issued a press release on the outcome of the bilateral meeting held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, between the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the President of the Republic of Korea.
Prime Minister Hun Manet of Cambodia and President Lee Jae Myung of the Republic of Korea (ROK) affirmed the countries’ strategic partnership and their excellent three-decade-long relationship. The leaders agreed to establish a Joint Task Force by November to enhance cooperation in combating transnational crimes and cybercrimes, focusing particularly on those involving Korean nationals. In response to this commitment, President Lee expressed strong support, pledging to consider addressing the labor issue and lowering the travel alert level. Finally, both sides agreed to boost bilateral trade volume, attract Korean investment to Cambodia, and promote people-to-people connections.
