GMAC’s appeal to garment, footwear and travel goods buyers sourcing from Cambodia
On 4 May 2020, Garment Manufacturer Association in Cambodia has posted an appeal to all garments buyers sourcing from Cambodia. GMAC’s has called for a fair paid for all manufacturer in Cambodia. The appeal also stated that payment should be discussed and is unacceptable to not pay the factories. According to the appeal, 180 factories has been suspended from operating which has affected more than 150, 000 garment workers and expected to loss 200, 000 jobs in the near future.
