Outcomes of the first visit of the special envoy of the ASEAN Chair on Myanmar to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, on 21-23 March 2022
On 23 March 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued a press release on the outcomes of the first visit of the special envoy of the ASEAN Chair on Myanmar to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, on 21-23 March 2022. The primary objectives of the visit are to (1) follow up on the outcomes of Samdech Techo Prime Minister Hun Sen’s visit to Myanmar on 7-8 January 2022, (2) facilitate the implementation of the Five-Point Concensus (5PC), which was agreed at the ASEAN Leaders’ Meeting on 24 April 2021, and (3) deliver humanitarian assistance to the people in need in Myanmar.
