On 23 January 2026, the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Japan issued a press release on His Excellency CHUM Sounry, Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Japan, holding a meeting with Mr. KOJIMA Masanobu, Chairman of KOJIMA Holdings Co., Ltd.

The two sides exchanged views on broader cooperation under the Cambodia-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, including opportunities arising from Cambodia’s growing economy and the Japan-Cambodia Economic Co-Creation Package.
