Press release: Meeting between the Minister of Economy and Finance and the World Bank’s Director Division for Vietnam, Cambodia, and Lao PDR
On 2 December 2025, the Ministry of Economy and Finance issued an announcement on the meeting between H.E. Dr. Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, and Ms. Mariam Sherman, World Bank’s Director Division for Vietnam, Cambodia, and Lao PDR.
Meanwhile, in the context of global economic uncertainty, such as reciprocal tax policy and the consequences of the Cambodian-Thai border dispute, His Excellency and Ms. Mariam Sermon agreed to promote and strengthen closer cooperation in key areas.
