The land allocation program, protects forests for joint sustainable development was initiated with the aim of increasing the protection and conservation of natural resources for future generations and increasing the efficiency and productivity of state land use by providing land under social land concessions to poor landless people for equitable housing and supporting community development projects, as well as protecting forests near the land grant sites.
